International Biennial of Fine Arts Zlín
The first year of the International Biennial of Fine Arts Zlín (MBVU Zlín) presented works by 43 established artists from the Visegrad Four countries in various media – drawing, painting, graphics, sculpture, glass, photography, installation and video – and also included selected student work.
The main theme, A sense of self?!, explored the search for identity through the senses and materiality of the body, connecting artistic practice with personal experience and enjoyment. The project was created in cooperation with the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of TBU in Zlín and the Václav Chad Gallery, in the curatorial team of MgA. Miroslava Ptáčková, Ph.D. and Mgr. art. Lívia Kožušková, ArtD.
The program also included lectures, meetings, workshops and educational activities supporting creativity and artistic perception.
