Graphics and orientation system of the city library

The orientation system for the city library in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm uses navigation elements and graphic motifs created precisely for the given space.

The basic signage works with a simple visual code that naturally guides visitors through the space and provides them with intuitive and understandable orientation. The stylized monolinear drawing connects the navigation segments, individually designed icons and pictograms, and at the same time is freely applied as a distinctive element in the interior and on the functional parts of the building. On a visual level, the system follows the architecture and artistic context of the place itself.

The entire solution carries a subtle reference to the work of sculptor Marius Kotrba – the figure from his relief on the building comes to life in icons and other graphic motifs, bringing a human dimension to the visual language and creating a connection with the community character of the library.
