CREATED IN ZLIN awarded three best creative projects of 2025

The CREATED IN ZLIN project, which was initiated by the Technological Innovation Center (TIC) and the Zlín Creative Cluster, has long drawn attention to original products and services from the cultural and creative fields of the Zlín Region. It focuses on authors and companies working with high-quality design, innovative processes and often sustainability. In the current year, the jury awarded three projects that most clearly represent the region’s contemporary creation:

What a Hut – Sauna Mini

What a Hut won the award for the Sauna Mini model, a small garden sauna for 1-3 people that can fit into a smaller plot of land or urban development. The combination of a simple shape, a glass front wall and a modest color scheme creates an expression that fits well in various types of spaces. The project demonstrates that even a compact building can stand out as an aesthetically coherent element, naturally connecting to the exterior and at the same time fulfilling a clearly defined function.

Ladislav Škoda Design – REcap: Circular cup made from coffee grounds

The Ladislav Škoda Design studio was awarded for REcap, a series of circular cups made from used coffee grounds. The durable and visually attractive material was created from waste thanks to the development cooperation between Plastia and the Faculty of Chemistry, Brno University of Technology. The cups are designed with an emphasis on ergonomics, durability and easy stacking, so they are used in gastronomy and corporate operations. REcap is an example of practical sustainable design, which is also popular at festivals and other events. The product line won the prestigious German Design Award 2026.

JANOŠÍK OKNA-DVEŘE – Designer windows and doors for modern architecture

The family-owned company JANOŠÍK OKNA-DVEŘE has succeeded thanks to its work with windows and doors that respond to the demands of modern architecture — from large-format glazing to minimalist variants without a visible frame. Their products expand the visual connection of the house with its surroundings while emphasizing the detail that influences the atmosphere of the interior. The company thus shows that even a traditional manufacturing industry can bring significant aesthetic value and advance the standards of modern living.
